“Colour is the most important thing” is another quote by Brita Molin, the Swedish artist who passed away on September 26 last year at the age of 89. Not only did she have absolute colour pitch, but like Kandinsky, Mondrian and several other great artists she was also a sound-color synesthetic and had music as an important source of inspiration. In addition to having a passion for colour, she was also advanced in the technical development of printmaking.
Being an interested diver, she also loved and pictured water (and nature in general), as in this etching ,”Delta”.
She was very active both as artist and art teacher also at old age. It goes without saying that she is represented in a number of collections in Europe and North America.
